Car got broken into
hey guys, My car got broken into monday night and the thieves stole all my audio equipment and in the process messed up pieces of my console. I dont know what the pieces i need are called but i will try to describe them as best as possible. I am missing the metal frame that holds your headunit into the center, could i get that back from the dealer, if so how much would that cost? I also messed up my window switches on the drivers side. Because they broke into it while it was raining and i think water got in the switches so my window is winding down by itself. And i have the manual climate control and some of the buttons are missing ill try to get some pictures of this disaster tonight.
**edit** I have a '00 gxe

Just go steal the stuff you need. Gotta be tons of '00's' out there. Kidding!!!
On a serious note sorry bout your car. Window switch should dry out. I've had it happen before too. And for the parts, do you have any junk yards near you? You can usually go pull items yourself from wreckers and pay a few bucks for them, Especially small ***** and brackets.

Metal frame that holds the headunit is only about $6 - $8 each. Window switch should be around $50 or less. Why not just look around on Ebay. I often see people selling the whole assembly (head unit, brackets and climate controller) for around $100 or so.

i believe he MAY be talking about the metal frame that holds in the radio, the climate control, etc... everything. that 1 big large frame, not a rectangular metal frame. the OEM frame is a lot more. again, not sure which he is referring to.
