CustomMaxima.com

I just wanted to let everyone know about my experience with custommaxima.com. I bought the angels eyes from them and the 2 small rings turned out to be defective.

The 2 smaller angel eyes had dried up silicon on the rings in 2 areas on one ring and three areas on the other. Also, the rings do not light up about a half an inch up on the bottom of both rings. Basically I was sent defective rings. When I called Custommaxima they told me that the rings they have light up all the way. I asked them for an exchange and they wanted me to pay to ship and insure the defective product back to them. Why should I have to pay to ship and insure a defective item that I was sent. I paid money for a working product.
When I ordered a strut bar from sport compact only I received a scratched up strut bar. After I called them and explained what I had received, they immediately emailed me a form and said to take the bar and the form to a FedEx so that it could be shipped back. I did not pay a dime and they sent me a new bar the same day – Excellent Customer Service.

Custom Maxima.com did not seem to care that I was upset and would not fix the problem.

I do not have pics as I did not put the set on my car. I just wanted people to know about my experience with this company so that before you decide to purchase these rings from them you might want to consider Umnitza since they make them and I heard they have excellent customer service. I will not purchase anything from CM again.

There are many horror stories with CM customer service and their products, but there are also some that swear by them. Kinda like the Maxima some people love it and it gives them no problems, and some hate the car as it gives them problem after problem, lol.

I've had no problems with them either, but that may be because I live within five miles of the shop and pick everything up right from them w/ no shipping. The guys there seem real cool as I have seen and talked to many of them. Jose has always been really good to me.

Any company will have decent customer service if you pick up products. This company sent me a defective product and wanted me to pay to ship and insure it back. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I WILL NEVER PURCHASE SOMETHING FROM THEM! People should re-consider before they purchase from a company like this.

Return the rings to CustomMaxima and order the ones from Umnitza...they are friendlier with their customer service.

I HAD ORDERED THE ANGEL EYE SET FROM CUSTOMENTERPRISE WHILE WAITING A WHILE (MONTH OR 2) FOR A STRUT BAR. AT THE SAME TIME Umnitza.com WAS HAVEING A SALE ON THERE ANGEL EYES FOR $150. BC OF MY WAIT WITH THE STRUT BAR, CUSTOMMAXIMA SOLD ME THE ANGELEYE RINGS FOR $140 WITH FREE SHIPPING. A FEW MONTHS LATER I HAD A BALLEST BLOW FOR THE ANGEL EYES. CUSTOMENTERPRISE SAID THEY WOULD SEND ME A NEW BALLEST FOR FREE WITH FREE SHIPPING. THEY DIDNT, THEY SENT ME A WHOLE NEW WIREING KIT WITH 2 BALLESTS INSTEAD! Umnitza.com WANTED ME TO PAY $10 FOR SHIPPING. Umnitza.com IS A GOOD COMPANY AND THERE WERE NO QUESTIONS ASKED ABOUT THE BLOWN BALLEST BUT CUSTOMENTERPRISE HAS ALWAYS TREATED ME MORE THAN I HAVE EXSPECTED EVERY TIME.

I tried but they said they would take it back but charge me the 20% re-stocking fee. What a company? Sells you a defective product, does not send a replacement, and then will not refund your money without charging you 20% to put it back on the shelf.

Angel eye's?

Is that the whole headlight assembely or just the bulbs in the inside of the stock headlights?

I want to do a headlight change looks wise(mine are foggy on the inside), are angel eye's just a cheaper way of making a cosmetic change?

In terms of them being foggy, you can clean them by taking the headlight housing apart and make sure you seal it tight. The angel eyes are not a new assembly, they are rings that go around your stock headlights however, you need the 02-03 headlights. I have heard a lot of negative remarks about projector headlights w/halos. So, if you want that look just I would pay more and get the 02-03 headlights and then get the angel eyes from Umnitza NOT custommaxima.com.

You would think I would have learned my lesson after I ordered my bezel and got three defective ones in a row, and finally received the fourth one which was ok almost 2 months later.

I would do a google search or start a thread and ask those questions. Then someone who has done it may be able to help you. Sorry I couldn't.

Please don't hijack this guy's thread. Don't start a new thread either.

To address your question, read through previous pages or use the Google search method outlined in the Stickies and you will find old threads discussing this. Yes, it is a direct fit, all you need is the proper wiring harness.

Look here as a start for HIDs FS:

I've purchased quite a bit from CustomMaxima, they have always had STELLAR service and customer relations (even when they sent me the wrong parts, they would send the right part out immediately, before I shipped the wrong one back). Restock fee is only if you don't exchange for a new (non-defective) part.

The company to stay away from is PROCARPARTS.COM - they are crooks and idiots.

The point is they wanted me to pay to ship and insure a defective item back to them.

Tell them that you are going to call the Connecticut Attorney General and lodge a complaint for fraud, then send a email to the BBB and cc them on it and see if the will work with you then.
