Shock & strut dust boot Q's
I am going to change my dust boots when I install my H/Techs and Illuminas.
I have some questions though.
1. Are they a dealer part only?
2 If so does anyone know the part #'s for a 2000 max front and rear?
3.If there are aftermarket ones can you point me in the right direction?
I looked on the sites that I'm getting the struts and springs from but I can't find them anywhere.
4. Any idea of the cost for all four.
5. Tein H-techs come with the squeek isolater thing wrapped on the bottom coils of the spring right?
Thanks for the info in advance. Mike

You can get the KYB dust boots here: http://www.cattman.com/prod_struts_springs.html
Alternatively, it's a lot cheaper but not as "nice" you can use those generic boots sold at your local auto parts store (about $8 for a set or each, just depends) - in most cases these do not include the bump stops (like the OEM or KYB's).

There is no reason that the KYB's wouldn't work with tokico illumina's right?
Do you think that the bump stop can be removed and cut down than put back into the boot? I read some where that guy's where doing this with the OEM boots. I guess that it keeps the boot intact at the top.
Thanks, Mike
