heat shield?

On occasion I hear a tinny sound coming from the engine compartment between 1700-2000 rpm. This occurs only sometimes and while the car is moving, never in park. Could it be a loose heat shield problem? Are any of the heatshields prone to becoming loose or making noise? I googled but to no avail. Thanx in advance.

I would think that sound is your timing chain

My timing chain would only rattle around 2k RPM when the car was moving when it first started but as it got worse it would also happen when I was in neutral. Luckily mine wasnt from low oil level so I just got the tensioner replaced. I'm not sure if this is your problem, I would wait for some of the others to see this.
