Wheel repair..??..

Hey fellas, I hate to say it but I scratched one of my rims while backing into a friends driveway. Now the rim is not rashed it just got scraped and took off the paint. Are there any places that will refinsih this for me? It about 5 inches total.

On another note, I brought my car into the Nissan dealer the other week and told them about the rattle/knock at about 1800-2000 rpm. And of course, they could not replicate the problem. The problem is it happens sometimes very quietly and others is quite loud. My fiance heard it last week, and if she can hear it then it's very audible. I'm making another appt for next week and I want to tell them specific things to check, but I can't remember the cause of the problem. My oil level is fine, btw. Timing tensioner? I also had the TSB performed 6 months ago and I get the rattle at cold start once in a while, should I have them check that too, perhaps replace the other sprocket?

This is getting very frustrating, and only 20k miles.

You might try calling tire stores and see who they use (invariably they have had to repair some rims they trashed). If this is an OEM rim then you probably can buy a used one cheaper than repairing yours. Hope this helps.

Yes, it's an OEM rim. The crappy part is I bought 2 new ones when I got the car last March bc they were rashed. If the tire was dismounted I could probably sand it and tuoch it up if I had the right paint.

Thanks! Does anyone know what paint is used for the rims? I don't want to mismatch the colors.

That's the million dollar question. It's very difficult to match perfectly. I have the TE wheels. They are impossible to match. If your's are the regular silver color, I think it will be a lot easier to match. Try these guy's and see if they can help. I purchased body color paint from them that was a perfect match.
