I think it's time for me to change my foglight bulbs (HID) because one burned out after all the crazy rain. I was thinking of getting these 3000K HID H3s to get that IS300 look.

I think those would look really nice. So I'm going to order them today and get the overnighted. Should have the pictures of it by thursday because I'd install them on Wednesday (my day off from work).

I'm also looking to swap out my 4300k foglight capsules. The company where I purchase my fogs from just got the 3000k bulbs.

i have these, here are some pics. they light up the road very nicely. they look really "light" yellow when warming up, but when they get going they are a deep yellow.

p.s. the 2nd pic, is a sideXside comparison of the 3000K bulbs and the 8000K bulbs.

Yellow HID's

Because that's the picture of the HID bulbs on an M3. These give you the IS300 look.

the "IS300" look can be had alot cheaper (and more legal) Remember, HID fogs can get you a ticket, while halogen yellow ones are legal.

btw, other Lexus cars have the yellow fogs besides the IS300

Thats good to know. Kind of makes me think twice about getting HIDs (3000k or 6000k) in my fogs

further on that - any HIDs are illegal if they aren't "from the factory"

besides, we use our "fogs" more for looks than for visibility anyhow, right?

I am a HID *****, so I will probably throw HIDs in the fogs after the 1st of the year. The question now is 3000k or 6000k.....

I have the stock fogs, and I'm tired of the yellowish looking light (not the lexus yellow that would be sweet). Other than buying HID fogs what can I do to change the color to more of a bright white or maybe a tint of blue. Also what light bulb can I replace the headlight turn signal with (I'm clearing them when I install my dde's, just waiting on the soldering iron) and the light above to turn signal (parking light?) also to look whiter maybe with a slight blue tint? Thanks

pretty soon I'll be getting rid of my philips ultinon 6000K d2r bulbs. Only reason because I just recently bought helios h3 hids for my fogs and I was told that the 7000k would be a perfect match. Let me know if anyone is interested in the philips 6000k. Bulbs are about 2 months old. Bought them for 250. Great upgrade compared to the stock 4300k.

I have stock (2k1) halogen headlights and stock fogs. I was thinking it would probably look stupid to have HID yellow fogs w/ the stock headlights. Should I just get a halogen yellow replacement bulb for my fogs?

Don't worry, I promise I won't get g35, a roof rack, 5.5 headlights or mesh behind my grill. But the yellow fogs are going in. Sorry to bite your style.
