Need New Brakes?

I hear a minor grinding sound when i hit the brakes lightly but not heavy. Everytime I have my brakes checked they say everything is fine. I know I need new brakes and I want to know what is out there. I will know for sure if I need them when I get my AVID V4S's installed later today.

I know the brakes from the factory are not the best since I am a little hard on my car stopping wise. What are my options for performance brakes? Websites would be helpful as well. Anything you can provide will be appreciated... thanks!

2kmax... you have been a member since '04... I have not been, but I know that I have seen at least 20 brake threads since I joined. A simple search will net you a ton of information...
