Speedometer Question

Quick question, even though i think i know the answer. The ECU keeps track of the milage, not the speedometer on the digital 00 Max, also im looking at a 00 Cluster gauge that has Traction and mine does not, will that fit properly or will there be some modding involved, thanks guys!

The mileage is stored within the cluster. If you swap clusters, the mileage retained within that cluster will appear. If you want to retain your original mileage, you must get it adjusted at the dealer. If the cluster has traction control and your car isn't equipped with one, I don't see anything happening if the cluster is swapped in a car without traction control. It just won't be pre-wired. No modifications needed.

You just won't know when the traction control is ON or OFF

Also... you can have the new speedo calibrated at the dealer (or talk to Dave B)... for the mileage it is supposed to read.

On this note

I just got my hands on an 03 maxima cluster and was thinking on putting it in my 01 anniversay. WILL IT WORK??????? the only thing I saw that is different is the park tree. The 01 has P-R-N-D-2-1 AND THE 03 HAS P-R-N-D-3-2-1 but i think its just a plastic piece that can be swapped over. If anyone has done this please let me know
