DDE Problem, temporary, or i gotta change?

I did search but couldnt find.
After this wave of coldness we had my driver side smaller ring DDE when starts off gives like a purple color and refuses to warm up. even today was like around 50º+ and it still happens to stay purple. looks like my car has pink eye. Bugbite77 or goldmaxnyc please chime in if you have any idea as well.

This purple is normal in the cold weather, but only for a max of 2 mins, they should be normal color by then. There are a few things you should check.
1) your ballest is fine since your angel eyes are infact turning on.
2) your angeleyes may still remain purple if the car is not running, this is because the angeleyes might not be getting enough power.
3) Check all your wireing on your driverside DDE's, even if they seem tight, i assume you cut thoes cheesy connectors off that came with the kit and hard wired everything. make sure the red and brown wires from the ballest are connected good, un connect them and re connect them. use heat shrink wrap to reconnect them
4) do the same with all 4 white wires, un connect them one by one and re connect them and use heat shrink wrap to ensure a water tight seal (do these one by one to ensure that you dont reconnect one white wire to a wrong white wire.)
5) if you used the driverside parking light as your accessorie on, make sude that quick tap is doing its job, if its not connecting the wires, it may cause one side angeleye to light up purple.

Please let me know how everything goes, PM me if this does not work.

ALSO MAKE SURE BOTH YOUR BALLEST ARE SEALED WITH SILLICONE OR GOOP (FOUND IN HOME DEPOT IN THE GLUE SECTION) TO MAKE SURE WATER NEVER GETS IN.

You should hardwire the DDEs to the ballasts to fix that. If that doesn't work, there is a bad ground somewhere.

Is this fix guaranteed to fix the problem? I have the original angel eyes from umnitza and 1 of my bulbs went out and I'm thinking about upgrading to these new ones. Umnitza doesn't have replacement bulbs so I'm forced to upgrade, I just want to make sure I want have any problems with these.

Hmmmmmmm usually when you have a connection problem, half the bulb will be PURPLE, not PINK. Have you tried the things i told you to do yet? If not, we will have to meet up so i can try to fix this, this sounds interesting.

50º is not a cold climate. Mine start up great until around the 30s or 20s.
