Anyone getting bad gas mileage ? my 2g max all of a sudden is getting between 13 to 15 mpg. when I fill up the 18.5 gallon tank I get 220 and 270 miles before next fillup. Normal driving conditions. some city and highway. I seem to have lost good performance also.

I took it to Nissan 2 times they checked the computer, test drove it and they said "we can't do nothing about the gas mileage". What can I ask them to do or check to get my baby performing right again. I am on the verge of trading it for a new VW Passat. Can someone help me or give me some ideas it is driving me crazy!!!

Im only getting like 14-15 mpg all city driving. The car only has 1k miles on it. It keeps getting progressively better with each fillup but not nearly what i expected when i bought it. I heard the milage gets better as the car is broke in. Sounds like yours is getting worse, which is odd.

MY mpg was pretty bad at first also. It has definitely improved. I do a ton of highway miles and have been getting 400-430 miles with a couple of gallons to spare. Even with city miles, I'm getting @22/23 mpg.

Who knows - maybe this expense gas is making me drive more gently without realizing it.

Also, Shell 93 octane only. Try another brand of gas and see what happens.

type of gas and the way u drive make differences. I usually dun pump the tank to 18 something gallon since it is too heavy for the car.

my mpg = 20 - 21 (city and highway combined)

I just got a new Maxima 3 weeks ago. I got about 1100 miles on it. My mileage has been great. On one fill up I got 26.3 then on the next I got 26.7. I think my very first fill up was a little over 23 mpg. This is average driving to work with some interstate. I used premium and I have an automatic. I will fill up again tomorrow and let you know what it is.

Shame on you... I follow your reasoning completely.. but the way you said it makes it sound like your 222hp sports sedan can't get up hills with a full tank of gas..
