New owner 5th Gen-Also coolant question

Bought it today.
Unfortunately, It's not as cherry as I thought. It is a GLE with spoiler added. (Factory, after looking again it does have a light) Carfax checked out ok. It has a small dent in the front fender tire well. (Quarter sized). A few paint nicks on the front bumper, and a small amount of surface rust on the inner lip of the rear quarter panel, (Nothing that can't be lightly sanded and fixed) and there where a crap load of weghts on the tire to balance it. (Yea, I try to be thorough, this tells me he probably smacked a curb.)
I also put the car on a rack and hooked OBD II up. No stored codes, nothing. No misfires, all 02 banks are running good.
Now the other problems besides from the exterior are two things..........
1. It needs a passenger side wheel bearing... I figure $50, no biggie.
2. It was low on coolant.... It's been sitting for a few weeks-He says-...... It was to dam cold to sit outside and do a pressure test,(3 degrees F) though I really wish I would have. ....Anyway's, are these cars known for using small amounts of antifreeze or did I buy a headgasket problem??? Any TSB'S for coolant loss?--I suppose I will check FAQ, but thought someone would know common reasons and/or problems pertaining to coolant loss.
It also has 59,000 miles. paid 10,200 for it....Not great, but not bad right? be brutally honest if you must.

Ok, maybe a few pics will help?? First cardomain site--There are 4 pics.

http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2195944

If you copy the third pic into a paint file and zoom in you can see the small dent I'm talking about.

00 Gle

When I got my 2000 GLE I Flushed the radiator flush because the guy just changed oil... I was suprised on how little radiator flush mine used compared to my MDX and Oldsmobile... I wouldnt be too worried but watch the level if it drops then i would investigate a bit deeper...

Ok, all seems fine - No overheating - no more coolant loss just the original that small "top off". -Everything else checks out ok except mentioned problems. Did I get bent over with price or is that just about right????????

I also called the dealership to see what was done under warranty
@38500 miles tranny flush, gasket, and filter.
@39000 miles reman tranny....are the remans the same as original or did they fix the faulty parts. I.E. better clutch packs, bands, bearings, etc??? (Whatever the main problem in these trannys are). Just wondering if I should expect another tranny sometime down the road.

Another quick bump for opinions if I got ripped or not on price????
Also the wheel bearing was fine. It was a tie-rod end, that's an easy fix and will be fixed early next week, then it's to the shop for an alignment. Cringe.......Guess I'm going to have to find one with lots of windows into the shop from the wiating room. It's to dam cold to be "smoking" non-schantly (If that's how you spell it) outside in front of the baydoor where he's working on it at.

I dont think so, check the KBB and NADA values, but check both since kelly is low and nada is high but 10,2 for a 2000 GLE isnt bad, what 59,000 miles? Thats actually a pretty good price, i paid 12 for an 01 SE a few months ago..

paid $12000 for a 02 se with 30,000 on it.... so im guessing you got it about right considering you have the luxury part of it

Very nice..... Around here noone will go less than KBB dealer price. (And that's suppossed to be a beginning point), Then again there are only 2 5th gen's for sale locally and are hard to come by....
My primary reason for steering away from the 02's is because of the 3.5....Come to find out my 00 is scaled as a 19 (higher is more expensive) at my insurance agency. The 02 is the freaking same. Wish I had called sooner. Didn't expect an 00 to be that high, considering my 4 Wheel drive SUV was at 11.
