Main Cats

Has anyone had there main cat converters replaced? Mine broke free inside and are rattling. Nissan already diagnosed the problem and has ordered the parts i'll take my car before the end of the week and have them installed if i'm not swamped at work. It's weird i thought it was something mechanical because it would only rattle past 1800rpm when warm

my car makes a rattling noise just past 1800 rpms, it sounds like something is lose, im wondering if that could be whats wrong. I can hear the rattle most on the rpms way down.

I have the CE High Flow cat on mine. replaced it under stands in my garage and it was easy. I have had no problems with it since and it added a deeper tone to my exhaust.

I also have rattle from the exhaust between 1k-2k rpm, I just don't know where. After reading this post it could be the Cat.

If I remember correctly Fed spec 2000 has 02 sensor after the Cat so if Cat goes bad CEL come on, doesn't it? I don't have CEL yet and that's why I thought it's just heat shield rattling from rusting. Correct me if I'm wrong.

yup sounds like one of your pre-cats has broken free INDECENTMAX. Lithia just sent me a card today telling me my parts were in so they can install them. Just wait til' i go asking for another tranny in a month or so. I should just start looking for a used 6-speed tranny with HLSD
