One question...besides getting rid of the rotor warp, are there other benefits to this mod?

I would love to have it done, but i'm in atlanta.
So, unless you want to fly out here, i'm stuck.
What I want to know is, How much better is the stopping power? Are the rotors the same size as the max's?

My my my... you have some gorgeous rims on also! I like these calipers because of the stopping power (4 piston caliper vs. 1 piston on stock caliper) and the NISSAN wording. I can't justify spending big bucks for the Stillen Big Brake Kit.

I wonder if Turbo95Max wants to do them and ship them out? The rotor diameter is the same as the 5th gen, but the thickness is quite a bit larger. The calipers have 4 pistons (similar to the big brake kits offered by Stillen) compared to 1 for the stock Max. The calipers are much lighter than the stock calipers. So far I haven't stomped on the brakes, but from what I can feel now, it brakes MUCH better.

Toy Boy (Matthel)!!! Interested in doing some sets and shipping them out?

2 Questions

What would be the going rate (roughly) if you were to sell this as a bolt on kit?

Have you checked if the spare tire fits over the wider caliper (in case you get a flat)?

Kevin, can you please give me some more detail information on what it took to install these? Also how much was everything? Will the stock 17" wheels fit, have you tried? Thanks...

You'd probably have to ask Turbo95Max about the going rate. I believe $600-$800 (includes calipers, rotors (customized), stainless steel lines, brake fluid, and installation) but not sure how much he'll charge w/o installation.

The spare will not fit over this. You'd want to use the spare in the rears and not the front.

Turbo95Max is the man to ask if you want more details (I can give you details, but he'll have to kill me afterwards). These will not fit on the stock 17 rims... we tried.

hhehe ok, spare tire wont fit, stock 16's wont fit, stock 17's wont fit. What i konw will fit. Tantrums. TR Motorsport Typhoons, Work EWing, and Volk TE37's.

IF we did it and shipped it out, there is still modification needed to be done on the car to make it fit and not grind or rub. i dunno how we would work that out. yea i belive the going rate would be $600-$800 installed. will try and get more info

I would be willing

to fly you out (cattlecar I ain't Rockerfeller) If I knew all the costs involved with the situation. Since the original rims do not fit I have to add the cost of new tires and rims...Darn! I like the Tantrums but not sure how much they will cost me.....

Soooo if you could break out the kit with and without installation that would be great....Hey, Cincy is not that bad a place....

Those are 300ZX slotted rotors (stock rotors will be too thin). Turbo95Max can answer your other questions.

Let me see if I have time tonight. I'll be doing my hoses so I don't guarantee pics. 17 X 8 rims (18's are too heavy for my performance taste ).

Turbo95Max can answer your questions about prices. Other wheels will clear, but you'll have to pick one that clears big brake kits. I'm sure wheel companies/sites can provide you with that information.

what year did you pull them off of? the non turbos made from 2/89 to 6/90 have smaller calipers and thinner rotors (26 mm vs normal 30mm for all other years). They look like the aluminum ones, too, so I'm guessing 90 or 91.

Good guess! They are off a 91 TT.

Thanks! Alright, we'll let you know. Since you're in SF also, there should be no problems doing this conversion.
