Well after one year on a 2K SE, I get rust drops under my tail pipe on the garage floor! Seems odd, as I never got these on my 89 Maxima after 11 years ownership.

Anyone else noticing this? Other than stainless, anyone know of a fix. It's not a big deal, though it indicates standing water in the muffler which will rust out prematurly.

I do make a lot of short drives 3 miles from work. This should be enough to fully heat the exhaust system and dry out any moisture, I would think.

I had some other problems related to a 3 min drive to work. I was told it takes 8-12 mins to warm the exhaust (and emissions). So I would suspect its not enough to completely dry to muffler.

Remember the car will also run VERY rich during the first 10 mins. I doubt that helps dry out the muffler.
