Power windows struggling

My windows are getting "tired" (slow down and up - slower up obviously). Is this more likely the window motors, an alternator, or some electrical drain?

00' SE
128K
original alternator
plugs changed at 85K
one coil went and changed at 115k
no tint

thanks

this is a common problem with all Max's, just clean the rails(guides) or whatever the name is, and add WD40 or some lubricant to it, it will make it work better

Might be the motor or tracks are dragging, try the silicone spray.

Use silicone lubricant only and NOT WD40 as it is an oil based lubericant.

1. Wipe all 4 edges of the window frame inside the rubber seal with a wet rag.
2. Allow that to dry.
3. Apply a silicone spray into the right and left channels with the window down.
4. Roll the window up and down a few times.
5. Repeat steps 3-4 if necessary.

sigh....it's amazing how many times this still gets repeated.....I wonder if I can get a buck for every time someone shares the fix I came up with????? well...maybe I can just get a "thanks nettypooh??? snicker snicker snort snort

dry rubber (he he he) is another one of those quirks that makes our maximas......interesting and.....loveable

don't you just feel warm and fuzzy about the wonderful investment you made?

on another note...I got my registration renewal in the mail today....they value they taxed it at is WAYYY less than what I have left to pay on it (due in part to a car accident that depreciated the value even more)

ooppss..went off in a totally different direction....sorry...some sweet person gave me FIVE hersey giant chocolate bars today...ive only eaten one, well almost one....and all that sugar has gone to my ...um..fingers?

what was I talking about originally? oh yeah....silicon spray....thank nettypooh

isnt the carb cleaner going to dry the rubber too much and make it crack?

I have the same problem like last year when I first got my car. I sprayed WD40 in the window and it worked fine for like a month then it started to squeak again and getting all slow again. so I sprayed it again but this time it like has no effect on my window no more. Its always slow no matter how much i spray. I emptyed half a can of silicone spray and it did absoultly nothing. Nissan needs to do like a recall or something and get this problem fixed for everyone.

I used the silicon spray, now the squeaks are totally gone, but it's still just as slow...the passenger side gets deathly slow half way up like it will get stuck and then it starts going up but still really slow...all the windows in my max are pretty slow, but front passenger side is the worst.

My drivers side window squeaks really bad sometimes when i roll it up and down and my passenger window is also really slow. But my question is will the silicone also fix the squeaky window or is that another problem in itself?

For me, the spray did both. My windows are now faster, don't squeak anymore, and on top of that are more equal in speed with each other instead of my front passenger and rear drivers side windows being 10x slower than the others.
