RE: F1 fenders

Anyone know someone who has installed these

Or does anyone have photoshop to see what this would look like on a Grey Lustre TE?

Your mirrors are slightly above that...if they're in their stock location.

You couldn't make LED mirrors cool if you cryogenically treated them

Those on Maxima =

A grocery getter won’t look sportier with these fenders; it will rather look like it got holes in the fenders.

those are extremely stupid looking, sorry. what is the fascination with putting openings all over the car? no function = no go.

those aren't even maxima fenders... I tried chopping it and it didn't come out good, they are too big for the fender, and look strange when they're small. Theres too little space between the door and the wheel well

They are probably off a little because he probably had the fenders and bumper painted at different times with a different mix, so they are probably off a shade. Plus it is hard to match the exact color of the car.

02 GLE Lost Drive

Need access to start thread. Tired of walking

Sorry to break in but am denied access to start Thread.
My 02 GLE had been making a right front grinding noise. No noticable CV damage (boot is perfect) but some plastic shrouding rubbing. Removed shrouding and noise continued (mostly while getting underway and cornering). Just lost drive on way home, throttle and engine run fine in neutral but in and drive gear throttle drops to idle and won't respond. Lights and electrics soon dimmed and barely idled into driveway?????? No dash warning lights????

Bose/Clarion system was replaced 5 times under warranty (Nissan uses refurbished parts for warranty work, look closely for blue paint marks on driveline, they may knowingly put defective, refurbished parts in "NEW" vehicles also. Radio works but CD quit (getting ERR F3 code) any ideas?

yup thats right...even tho everyone is saying they are rice and non-functional. He might like it because it looks good to him on his car. Just like why we put rims on our car, it will just make our car look good to us.

This is the second thread that you posted the same question in that I have seen. You need 15 posts to start a new thread, so help out the forum and post useful replys or don't post at all.

but if someone likes something then do it. dont post asking for opinions like you need reassurance before you do something. there are to many "should i get this on my car" threads. people need to make their own decisions.

This thread hasn't been worth anyone's time, IMO.

And btw, this is a forum. Anything that anyone posts is fair game for opinions and/or help, provided they fall within the forum guidelines. If they don't want opinions or responses, they shouldn't be posting, but I don't wanna get into this again.

I just don't understand why everyone gets all spun up when people are critical of their cars, their mods, or whatnot.

Obviously, if you are posting ANYTHING on this forum, you should expect some people to like it and some people to be critical ("flame") it. Don't get upset if people are critical...you have 4 choices:
- if you don't want to be criticized, don't post it.
- ignore them and do whatever you want.
- act like a baby and cry about people "flaming you"
- provide an intelligent counterpoint to the "flaming". I use this method all the time - explain why you like it, or why it works, or what the upside it. Or simply just say "I like it."

Trust me, as there is a reason people started calling me the "Home Depot mod guy"....I did quite a few creative/ghetto mods over the years - some of which were (in retrospect) kind of lame and got their fair shares of "flaming" and others that worked out well and got mostly complements. Take things with a grain of salt, and don't take it personally when people don't like the same thing you do.

....so I don't see you posting a picture either, so why are you posting in this thread....why am I, for that matter?

In Jason (soonerfan)'s defense, he's actually sitting in Afghanistan and when he's not avoiding the Taliban or car bombs, I somehow doubt there's a hellofalot else to do other than post on the org.
