When i am all finished with my maxima it will have a stillen intake, y-pipe, b-pipe, stillen supercharger, unorthadox racing underdrive pully, flywheel and high performance plugs and wires. What do you think my max hp will be? Once i get my short shift kit i am hoping to run low 5's and the high 13's in the 1/4. Thanks for the input.

Check http://www.avalonracing.net/maxima.htm

Go with the Place Racing Cold Air Intake instead of Stillen if you are real serious. Throw on a Random Tech Cat which might help and rear exhaust as well. You should have well over 300HP no prob!

I hope you are upgrading your suspension, clutch, tires and brakes as well?

PS I love the short throw shifter. I can't imagine having to drive with the stock stick again.

13's with a 5 spd is easy. You can't use the UDP with the SC and there's no need for the Stillen intake.

Oh, come on Kev! Let him underdrive his SC if he wants too!

Maybe he was planning on getting a REALLY
REALLY REALLY small SC pulley!!!

I wonder how that would work... If you got the smallest SC pulley and slapped on a UDP with it. How would you calculate the lbs. of boost with that setup?

I think this would work. As long as you get the pulleys sizes to the ratio you want, I don't think it should matter. As far as calculating boost goes, I would think the pulleys ratio would tell you this also, but...

I was referring to WontonBoy's 120 shot nitrous on an auto statement.

With the UDP, you'll be underdriving the SC, meaning product less boost. You'll want to overdrive it for more power, i.e. smaller sc pulley.

how can i overdrive the sc without causing damage to the sc or my engine?

You can probably somewhat safely boost up to 10 lbs. (smaller pulley), but I wouldn't recommend going over that because you'll need engine work (not to mention clutch, fuel system, etc).

BTW, how 'dem ***** doing?

Hey AznWontonboy, there is a misconception about NOS, it is less damageable for an engine than a turbo or SC, the reason for this being when the nitro get into the engine it temperature is around -127celcius, so it create much less heat than a turbo or SC, but it can cause some stress on the engine if abuse and perhaps more severe one on weak tranny.
A decent NOS system & installation on a 5spd Max would be ok. I would suggest some work on the auto tranny before going NOS.

Cheers
