Keep in mind CarFax is not infallible.
The CarFax on my Max says it was wrecked and repaired in NM even though I live in CO and the accidnet they were referring to happened 6 miles form my house in Denver. They also said there was an odometer discrepancy in August of 2005. However, in 8/2005 the title was still at the credit union and nothing had been done with it.
On an Altima I used to own CarFax said the car was owned by some corporation when I was the only owner.
