Locations of O2 sensors.

I thought someone may need this information when changing the oxygen sensors. I just pointed out the colors of the wires for each sensor. The front sensor which is blue is not shown, but it is easy to locate it in the engine bay. Illustration below i think is for cali emissions exhaust.

Heated O2 Sensor bank 2 sensor 1 for 2000 Maxima

Does the code P0152 indicate that the sensor has gone bad, or does it mean that something is out of whack in the engine and it's doing it's job and sensing something is out of tolerance?

If this sensor is bad, is it a "replace it yourself" part ?

I'm not a mechanic and I don't have anything more than standard garage tools and a helpful "car guy" brother. (Brother is the one with the code reader).

Is this sensor the one not shown on the diagram?

Thanks for your time and consideration !

It is the very first oxygen sensor not shown on the diagram. It has a blue wire and it is easily visible when you look at the front of the engine facing the radiator. Here are the possible causes for this code. Most likely you just have to replace the O2 sensor. I suggest getting an aftermarket one, it must have same amount of wires as the original. You will need to crimp the wires with the aftermarket ones but they are half the price of dealer ones.

Possible Cause for PO152
- Heated oxygen sensor 1 (front)
- Fuel pressure
- Injectors
- Heated oxygen sensor 1 heater (front)

Yeah its really easy especially if you get the sensor from the dealer( might cost around $120. Call Dave B 1-888-254-6060 , he should give you the best price. You will need a special socket with a slit ( they sell it at any autoparts store). Basically you screw in the new 02 sensor and then plug the other end into the socket(shown in picture) of the old one.
