i think you can get the changer and still have manual climate. My 03 has the BOSE 6 CD changer, cloth seats and manual climate.

Bose systems suck for Maximas. They tend to break real easy.

On the other hand, my Nissan stereo works fine

I think the 6 CD changer is part of the BOSE system. If you don't have BOSE, you won't have the in-dash changer. I could be wrong though.

I can tell you that I have a 2000 SE with Bose... and was told it was "fully loaded"... but it doesn't have the 6 disc changer. Dealership told me I could order it for like $300. Screw that.

The 00-01 sound systems are different from the 02-03's. 5.5th gens had the in-dash changer while the 5th gens were trunk mounted. So yea, you could have BOSE in yours without the changer option. For the 5.5th gens, BOSE systems include the changer in the HU.

The 02 SE could be had stripped or well equipped. I've seen them with cloth, manual seats, manual climate, single disk and no sunroof. Mine has leather 6-disk, sunroof, auto climate, power seats. Almost a GLE.

The spoiler with the brake light in it is standard to the SE.
