That thing can't be very fast. Same power as our 3.5 but with RWD and the chargers are heavy. If I was driving one to replace my max I'd get the 5.7 because of the MDS creating 27mpg on highway but as a weekend cruiser I'd get the SRT8 425hp...yum!! Also remember the 5.7 Hemi runs 13.9-14.1 and my maxima should be right around there with my mods so no loss.

If you were to research my few posts on this forum, you would realize that power and racing have never been first priority to me. I wish to keep my license and my ride looking fly. I flat out don't care about speed. The car is quick enough for me. I also misquoted the city milage it is 19mpg instead of 17.

i do like the charger, but i really cant see my self in an american car, i dont know, but the interior is just not my taste, and the design. it just doesnt fit me. maybe because ive never owned an american car. ive always liked the design of japanese cars, and some euro cars.

as long as his Charger doesn't have the 2.7 V6 in there, he should be ok. Those are the problem motors. Yeah the Chrysler 3.5's are no VQ, but they're good motors from what I hear.

I dunno what deal you got but judgin off of the MSRP i would've gotten the freshened 06 Accord EX-V6 for a little more than the dodge they look really hot and are easier on gas and much more nimble

seein the dodge is an american car u most probably didnt pay anywhere near msrp

But its your car and you're happy with it thats what counts =)

I'm a Ford guy, but the charger is real nice..looks good......As far as the mileage difference between the Hemi in the c and v8 charger and our cars........You are forgetting one thing...Those v8's have a technology that the Maxima's are missing......When you are in cruise mode and don't demand alot of power the PCM shuts down 4 cylinders, and fires the other 4 making for just as good if not better fuel economy on the highway....WOT the maxima is a little better. average fuel consumption is about the same. (a little worse on the c and charger, not much)

All of you guys giving him a hard time about "oh, the Maxima is faster, the Maxima has more power, you're not going to be happy with it" Let it go. Maybe if you guys would read his initial comments, you might gain an understanding of why he made the switch. I'm guessing if he replaced it with a BMW, some would mention how expensive those are to maintain. Wish him well with his new car and be done with it.

Good luck man.
