****. Both ABS Sensors Broke

I chnged my front wheel bearings this weekend. In the process, both abs sensors cracked. and the plastic piece is stuck in the knuckle on each side. so my abs doesnt work, nor does my speedo. i changed the lower control arm on the passenger side, but now i need to change the drivers side cause since the ball joint is so worn out, the drivers side sits lower. will just fixing one ABS sensor fix the speedo temporarily?

all my mechanics say that if your attempting to fix the bearings the abs sensor will break inherintly. Just too close to avoid doing. I've been driving with the ABS light on for a while and dont know if ABS is effective. I have really good tires and cant get the conditions that would trigger it.

hm, is it possible to remove the sensors before doing this type of work so you don't break them?

i tried. i got the bolt out, but the sensor was stuck in the knuckle. both of them ended up cracking right at the knuckle when i tried to take them off. it seemed unavoidable. if the speedo worked, i wouldnt give a ****. id jsut pull the abs bulb

Awesome news. i reset the ECU in the car, and my speedo works fine now. screw ABS, its not worth taking both knuckles off and drilling out the abs sensors, and then spending anotehr 300 on new ones. ill live without abs.
