Want to do it!

Ok I always wanted to put in the intrument cluster from I35 in my 02 Maxima. Didn't think it would work. I dont know if someone posted this before but this guy on ebay is selling it and has a pic of it done for the maxima. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Infin...QQcmdZViewItem. I work at Infiniti so i could get it cheap the only thing is will it show the correct milage of my car, and if it doesnt can you make it do it?

what probably gonna end up happening is that you are gonan have to bullet connect everything together, or spade connect so that you can still detach it later..and you will probably end up cutting the harnesses to have to do that unless you want to wire tap everything...but the wires should line up..not the harnesses. If you check out metalmaxima's retrofit project that he is doing with the 4th gen cluster..you can see how he soldered and bullet connected everything..you will probably have to do something similiar.

From what I have read else where (I think in the How To section) that when changing the instrument cluster the true milage settings, etc. are stored on the circuit board inside the cluster.

So you will need to take it out of the old one and transplant it into the new one.
