Check engine light after injen Cai
I installed an injen CAI on my 2000 max yesterday and today i got a check engine light, does that happen all the time you put an intake if anyone had the same problem please help.
Sorry if is a repost i cant search i'm in the job.
Help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
I pulled the code and it came to be p0505
which say "Idle system malfunction"
Well i took the car to a friend he is a nissan technician
and he say's that the car now needs a
"Throtle body".
The part with labor included is 850.
I forgot to post that before i installed the CAI i clean the throtle body and i guess thats how it got fukd up.

I never got an SES light with my Injen on my 2k2. For your 2k, tou could try disconnecting the negative battery terminal overnight.

Truth is, CAI should not set off a SES. Double check your breather hose and MAF connection, and go to Autozone and get the code pulled to see what it is. I think you will find it has nothing to do with the CAI.

You still have the problem? It's been a week and a half! Go here: www.autozone.com and look for the nearest location. They'll pull the codes and tell you what it is. It could be anything, but not likely to be the result of the Injen unless it's the MAF. (it's not the MAF or else your car wouldn't rev past 3500 rpms....)

Some cars may differ from others so it may take a little more time for the ECU to get adjusted to the new intake. Double check all your connections making sure that they are all secured including the vaccum hoses. Leaks could cause the alight to appear. Took mine several weeks for the light to go off. During that time it would appear then disappear only after long drives and/or if I really got the tach to move. Now it's off for good.

An Injen CAI will not make your ECU throw a code, you probably didnt make a tight fitting on the two mid-pipe emissions hoses. Recheck all your work, make sure you didnt leave anything unplugged like the MAF.
I can't imagine why "your mechanic" would want to rip you so bad, you dont need a "new" throttle body unless you ****ed yours up so bad that after cleaning its still sticky.
