problems makin my GAB

usin the coathanger method.. http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=266911.. usin this writeup and i figured itd be easy as hell.. bending the coathanger to fit the filter is actually hard as hell! ive been bending these things with pliers and have gone thru 5 coathangers! I have no clue what i hsould do now if anyones got any tips bout how to bend the coathanger or omsething or if someone wants to make me one(haha) let me konw!

idk, i just made the marks on the coat hanger and bent them, and it seemed to work for me...mine was even a little uneven at first, but it was an easy fix...idk what you could be doing wrong

I had the coathanger on mine at first, but it popped off a little and allowed the filter to drop down about a 1/4". I tried to make a new one and it just wouldn't seat well enough for me to be satisfied so I just took a hacksaw to the plastic piece that locks the filter in! It works great and looks a lot better that the friggin coathanger ever did! It is still pretty ghetto though . . .

I cut mine also, much easier and looks better in my opinion.

Ahh. the good ole coat hanger thread. Where do you seem to have the problem? Is it not fitting after you bend it? Or is it not staying after you put it in? If its not fitting. Mark one side then bend it then mark the other then bend it, instead of bending them all at the same time.

i use a sharpie liek the write up says, its just hard to bend it without the rest getin outa shape, im usin pliers, I got one to work, put it on, doesnt jiggle but im nervous that its gonna detach or osmethin,it sounds alot better but i liekd the berk from my old car better. throttle is alot more responsive i like it, but just cant am nervous bout it moving,

how do u do it that u cut up the air box? anyone got pics? thanks
