Rear clear bumper lights

Yesterday I installed clear bumper lights on my Max... and I turned on my car... and I had no lights (in the clears). It started to rain... and I didn't want to move cars around to get mine in the garage to look at them... so I didn't worry about it. Later... while they still weren't working... my girlfriend tapped on the lenses... and the lights came on... one is dimmer than the other... but I don't know why they are doing it at all. I made sure the connections are tight... and the bulbs are all the way in, but when I left work tonight... one of them was off... tapped it... on it came. What's going on?

Could you have some loose wires? That'd be the first thing I'd check. I'd try removing the bulbs from the lenses and turning them on, and checking their brighness.

same thing is happening to my front driver side clear corner, im just assuming its a loose wire and i havent had any time to get in there and tighten it up cuz it flicks on when i tap the light or the bumper...........you probably pulled the wire loose when swapping out the lights

Yea... so far my front ones work fine. There was a minor fitment issue trying to get the bulb thingy (technical term) into the bumper light for the rears... but that shouldn't have anything to do with it. I think I'm just going to live with it until I get my red and amber 194 bulbs to put in, and check the wires then. Anyone have any opinions on what brands or styles of bulbs to go with? I've just been looking at the led ones on ebay. Thanks.

I just put the inverted LED's in mine and they look pretty good. The fronts fill the lense more and have better color than the rears. I wish the rears gave off a bit more light and were "redder" as they do have a slight pinkish color.
