Wheres the dot??

I took my engine cover off last night to see if my coils had been replaced or not, i guess theres supposed to be a grey dot on the new design and a red dot if its the original coil, and i got nothin. Am i supposed to take the coil out b/c i thought there was a dot right on the top or side and didnt find anything.

it should be on top of the coil. my coils which are the updated ones also do not have a dot on them. best thing to do is check the part numbers.

Not necessarily there will be a dot on them even if they are the updated ones. I have a set of updated ones and they do not have dots on them. You could go by checking the part number. It is etched on the coil itself near the top...

front and rear banks will have different part numbers. if one of the sides end in 0 then its the old part. i think the other bank will end in 5 if its the old part number. post yours up and i should be able to tell.

Something like that. I think that new ones end with 1 on one bank and with 6 on the other (1 up from the old )
