Its a whinning noise whenever I hit the gas, but the moment I step on the clutch or lay off the gas it stops. Do you think it might be my clutch. Thanks

 

is your clutch slipping? how about when the car is in neutral, and give it some gas, does it still make the noise? could be a throw out bearing in the tranny. maybe the alternator. mine is making a whine/whistle noise just liek you explained and i pretty sure its the alternator.

its you could exlain your problem a little more it might help.

Its not slippimg and its only when I'm in gear and I'm on the gas. The moment I let off the gas the noise stops and when I reaply the gas it starts again.

 

Might be the fuel pump. I know my max makes a slight whining sound when I step on the gas and I have an auto.
