I tried to put my Red optima battery in my Max too but i couldn't get the damn thing to fit b/c of the + battery post. I see that your's is a little tweaked, did yo have to bend it? I know that you can slide the thing out a little bit by loosening the bolt but I was still unable to get the thing to fit.

Thanks,
Bryan

I have a red top as well. What we had to do was weld a piece of metal to elogangate that terminal.

Welding would be the best thing to do, but I shaved off the plastic piece and bend the metal piece to get it to fit.

i think the blue top would be a lil more difficult.. cuz i think the terminal posts are closer to the center of the battery. i took off a metal peice from the terminal connection thingy and unbent it then made an extention out of it.

When I *****ed to Optima about this problem they said that there was an Orange top battery out there that would fit without mods.
