Race!!!
My friend has a Mazda6 V6 Automatic, he thinks he can beat me in a race. He has an injen intake and he changed his exhaust system. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v8...2/IMG_0969.jpg thats the car. I think i can rip him a new one. Opinions? By the way my car is automatic as well.

I test drove a Mazda6 before buying the Max. It handles nicely, but it felt like it had no ***** when I tried to accelerate. If you want to race him and win, take him to the drag strip, not an auto-x course.

It doesn't matter what our opinions are, take it to a course or drag strip and find out for yourself. Skill of the driver matters too.

mazda6 is 200 hp and like 199tq. I wouldn't be concerned at all. They are like 15.5 1/4 mile with a manual and 7.4 0-60 with manual. So auto is slower. They are nice cars but have gutless ford Duretec v6 in them..

why waste your time and money.. also you can kill someone while trying to proof noting.......so don't be stupid and don't race...you can kill an innocent person.....
Answer to your question... Mazda 6 WILL NOT even come close to a Max..even w/o tires....... Now go out and tell your friend to be more mature.

...or better yet, WATER. Are all of the pipes going to spontaneously freeze? This one newcaster made a joke of it saying that people are going to need to stock up as the storm is posing a threat to national security.

i hate winter, cant wait for it to warm up for good, not just 3 days here and there.

the max would beat him by far (on the drag strip of course), why is this thread still open??

It's not high-strung....it's just that this thread is x 100.

I mean - a thread about "will my turbocharged 3.5L 400hp maxima beat my buddy's twin-turbo Mustang GT?" is one thing,

but "will my stock maxima beat my buddy's gay Mazda with exhaust and hubcaps?" is just lame...

this is the kind of crap that gets in the way of actual "good" discussion.....
