what could that be?

so over the course of last couple weeks i've noticed something that really annoys me with my max. (btw 03 max with 55k ) When accelerating really hard max doesn't pull as it used to, it's like some power has been taken away...well intil it hits 4k on tach, once it does it's like a turbo would kick in and the car pulls insanly until red line. I've never had that problem before on any of the cars that i've owned, and it just started happening with max. Car doesn't drive like it used to, it's kinda slugish until it hits higher rpm's. Did u guys experience anything like this before?

Thanks

Power Loss

I have the same experience you do. I feel like I have nothing until my RPM's are up to 3 or 4 grand. Once it does kick in its almost a violent slam of acceleration. Is this something the 17 degree timing advance would fix?

check your maf, air filter make sure things are clean and in good running order.....the timing advance adds more power top end not low rpms...I think

Sounds like the same prob i had with the Honda Accord i used to have. After I gave her a tune up and changed the filter. It cleared right up until i had to get another tune up. So the problem could have been deeper than the issue cause it did end up comming back when i needed another tune up. So see if that works and if the problem continues, your gonna have to get deeper involved. Bring it somewhere to get it checked out or something.

Yep, I would check the MAF first.
