What trim is it? Give some more specifics on it. Private or dealer sale?

Sounds like a deal so far, make sure it doesn't have a flood/theft/salvage title, not that it would be necessarily bad, but you should know

Sounds pretty cheap, I paid 13,900 for a 02 Black on Black, 6speed, with leather and BOSE but it needed tires, carfax was good.
So 12,900 seems pretty good, provided it hasn't been in an accident and has been taken care of...good luck

There is a Sticky in the General forum where people with access to Carfax offer to do it for those who need it.

Get it checked out, that is kinda cheap although some dealers do offer good deals on things like that. We paid 14,000 even for my 2001 SE with every factory option and 55k miles last may. My gf just bought an 02 altima 2.5S with the mid-level stereo, trip computer, fogs and sunroof for 13,900 with 35000 miles, and THAT was below book value. Your talkin about an 02 Maxima (higher level car) with the same miles, havent heard much options but at least leather, for a grand less. Little suspicious but if everything checks out jump on it!

paid 10,000 for mine 2 months ago. 2000 GLE-59,000 miles.
Sounds like a good price.
There was an article awhile back about hurricane cars popping up all over the country via. auction. Check carfax. Sounds like a really good price, def. get it checked.

unless the seller is clueless (which hes not) something is wrong here. and dont put all ur trust in carfax!!! id say that site knows of only about 50% of the accidents, dont believe me? if anyone had a serious accident try and run ur vin, dont be shocked if its clean!

anyway its either salvaged or has a serious problem, get it checked out with a magnifying glass, then consider it, still sounds too good to be true.

6 speed retails for less, that's about right IMO. (usually about $1000)

You're right. I got into an accident in illinois about 4 years ago (not my fault, btw) and it didn't show on carfax even though there was a police report, traffic ticket given, and insurance claim....

6 speeds don't retail for less. When i was looking for one the autos on the lot where much cheaper cause they had plenty of them. I'd go to dealers that had 10-15 used 02-03 and only 1 would be a 6 speed
