rapping/ping

I had posted about this a while back before doing a tune-up on my car. I am recieving LARGE amounts of what sounds like bubbly/rapping/ping when accelerating anywhere from idle to about 2k rpm. It is less noticable with faster acceleration and more noticable when under strain, (uphill) or in a higher gear/low rpm. I seafoamed, changed my oil, filter and plugs and I still have the noise. I have a GAB and I dont know if the air intake would have anything to do with it. I use 93 octane, (and dont know what the previous owner used) I dont know if the knock sensor has retarded the timing or anything like that.

p.s. because of previous cars and experiences, my dad suggested deposits on lifters and stuff, or even a shotty lifter.. any opinions?

it feels and sounds like the air/fuel mixture is RICH.. just a thought. And I don't know how my VIAS is doing, i was gonna check that sometime soon, perhaps the valves are stuck open letting excess air in or something.. just throwin ideas out

Sounds like the standard Maxima spark knock. Have you changed the plugs or coil packs at all? Fixed mine and it sounds very similar to the noises I was hearing. There are a million threads about spark knock because it is so common. Do a search and check them out.
