first thoughts on new suspension (updated with pics)

today i had a full day of installs.

eibach/tokico blues, progress rear sway bar, stillen exhaust, enkei rpm2's 18x8 with toyo proxies 4. i have to say the car looks and drives great, it feels a lot more composed on the road, i live outside of boston and the eibachs are little ruff on the city streets, but on the highway the car was great. the toyos seem a little nosiy, but i need to get rid of the rear window noise, before i can say for sure. the stillen exhaust is quieter than i thought it would be, but it has a nice burble, to it. i have to say i'm lovin the look of it though, i will takes pictures tomorrow

Nice! I think it would be kind of nice to see it all on a cardomain, but thats all your choice..............My question to you is, did you need some sort of camber bolts to make up for the negative camber gained on the drop?

yeah i will definetly be doing a car domain site soon, i have a couple comsmetic paint flaws i want to take care of first, but that will be done soon.

yeah doing the install was fun, but man do my hands hurt from those rear strut bolts.

i did this install with air tools and let me tell you it took me and my boy about 6 hours to do it all, with out the air tools i'd say it would have took more like 10 hours.

i didn't go with any sort of chamber plates, if i'm correct they are not needed, iwht the combo i used eibach/ tokico blues but i may be mistaken.

just take your car to a shop to check your camber and toe. cause i have illuminas and eibachs and they had to adjust my camber but i didnt need to add my camber bolts cause the stock bolts were good enough to get it back to spec

let the springs settle before you take your car in for an alignment

That's the reason I am still afraid to put my springs on. The roads in Boston are at an all time worse. With Nstar digging up every damn street and the half azz patch work is causing pothholes everywhere............

hey shurik great job on you car looks like the setup that i'm aiming for when i do my suspesion but with tokico illuminas and tein h-tech springs

-I'm curious on your wheels though.. what kinda size rims did you get? 18x7.5 or 18x8? I have an 18x7.5 set of rims commin my way very shortly and i need tires for them. if your runnin on 235x40x18 then thats the same tire for my rims..I just hope that after i do my suspension i wont bottom out

yeah the eibachs are not for the faint of heart, the car feels glued to the road, but man on some of the poorly patched roads the back of the car feels like its hit a brick wall, i just have to be really carefull, and watch the road, but that comes with 18's anyway around here. on the highway once you get out of dowtown bostn the car drives great.
