Maxima Greeting Cards!
Hey everyone!
I was wondering if anyone would be interested in electronic Maxima greeting cards?? I have some on my web site now, but they are not yet maxima related. So far they are scuba related. I thought it would be kind of cool to have some Maxima's out there! They are free to send. What do you all think? Would anyone be interested in submitting a picture of their Max for the site?? I could probably imprint information on the picture at your request, like your web site address or year Max, etc... . There is NO charge for any of this... I just thought it would be fun. Now who wouldn't like to receive a Maxima greeting card??! The site would be located at http://www.ramponi.com, under greeting cards.

Hey blackY2Kmax! Glad to see someone else from St. Louis also! Nice car. I parked next to a car exactly like yours at Hooters, Westport a few weeks ago... maybe that was you!
Serin... Thanks for the compliments on the pics! I hope to put some more out there real soon. Most of the pictures were taken from the Keys and Table Rock (cant wait to get back!).

I’ll be darn! Good to hear from you to!! I was wondering how many people from St. Louis are on this list. 2 is a start! Yea I work right over at Lindbergh and Olive (Monsanto). Your car is great to! I am still working with the dealer to fix my rims though… they look horrible. I just got my back windows tinted a few weeks ago, so the new car is finally coming together.

Re: Ooops!
I got my car at Suntrup Nissan, sorry to say. They are still playing footsies with me on the rims, but I spoke to the general manager, sales manager and service manager. All of them looked at it and said “hmmm…. That doesn’t look right”. Go figure! They promised to have them fixed, but said they need someone from Nissan to come out and look at it. That reminds me… I am going to call them today and see what the hold up is.
Thanks for the recommendation on the strut bars! I was definitely going to get the front one. Did you notice a big difference with the back? One thing I would like to do with my car is to have a leather parking brake boot installed. I don’t like the factory set up. If there is a way I can have the factory part removed and a leather boot installed, I think that would look much better.
How do you like your radar detector by the way?? Pretty happy with it? Sounds like a nice setup. Awesome looking car ya got!

I got my car from Bommarito and their sales team was fine, but Suntrup is actually closer from a service perspective for me and they have evening hours. They hate me because I always bring in TSB's from this site and make them fix stuff. You may be surprised, but don't expect a whole lot from them. I have spoken with Mark, the servie manager a number of times about things, but he hasn't helped much. They don't return calls very well, so you will definitely have to take the initiative.
I love the RSB (rear sway bar). It's different and much more useful than the RSTB (rear strut tower brace) and really reduces the body roll in tight corners almost completely. I love it.
Not too sure about the leather parking brake set up - there has been talk about this in this forum before. You can try search and see what comes up. I haven't seen any discussion of it in relation to a 2001, though.
I love the radar detector - it works well and is mounted up high with the remote attached to the steering column and no wires hanging down. If you ever want to meet for lunch, I can show you how it's set up (I'm an idiot about stuff and still did this with no problem) in case you decide to get any detector with a remote unit.
Anyway, good luck with Suntrup. Hold your ground respectfully and don't let them talk you out of stuff. If you ever have normal service done, the evening manager, Jim Ogle is pretty cool. He and I talk a lot while I wait for my car and he usually goes to bat for me with the TSB's.
Talk to you later,
Matt
