Your friend is an idiot, and you should never listen to him again.

I have one and it works great. It added ~30hp, I had a dyno slip but I lost it.

It should work but it can also mess with your electronics and damage something. I don't have time to try to prove it to you guys 'cause I'm kinda busy this week (sorry), but I'm pretty sure it works.

either way, DON'T buy it!

Mad HP from da boost chipz FTW.

Your friend is an idiot, and your an idiot for listening to him. Why would you honestly think a $20 piece of metel and wires is going to add 20hp. Do watch late night infomercials at night? Must have a bullet...

have your buddy open his "black box" up for you. 99% odds its a $.10 resistor. Your IAT is a thermistor that changes voltage readings to the ecu during varying temps. The warmer the air the higher or lower the voltage drop. Adding a resistor changes the data your ecu receives. It doesn't work.
Here's why.
1.)At WOT your A/F turns rich as possible anyways.
2.) your timing and A/F ratio take MANY other things into consideration a decrease in Intake temp would only advance your timing a very minimal amount. Way to little to even notice.

Lets just say for arguments sake that this did work and richen up your A/F ratio...Now what?
to rich of fuel mixture =unburnt fuel in combustion chamber=carbon build up on valves/exhaust=bad cat smell, potential premature engine/02/cat failure, 02 leans out your A/F ratio even more=pointless and/or waste of fuel.

Really mature of you guys... Why would he lie for his friend? What good does it bring him... I Love how u guys change the topic from the chip to his "loaded" friend... I think you're just jealous of the fact that maybe his is very prosper and the fact that he is makes you hurt and sad inside.

Make sure y'all buy the $2 insurance on it when you order... because you don't wanna take any chances with this invaluable mod.
