Vias Question

I have been checking around and reading old threads but I am still not sure if I have a problem with my VAIS. I have been reading about it and I have bought my JBweld quik, but I see that my actuator is still moving so does that mean that it IS still working properly? I have been also reading that basically all of them fail. what do others think? have people not fixed theirs because they still work fine? any sugestions?

just because the actuator is moving does mean its working. my actuator was fine but the cup that holds the power valve was all but broken loose. due to the design and frequent trips above 5k, i dont see how they will not all eventually break. if you do not venture above 5k rpms very often then its a likely guess that the vias is fine. a few ways of finding out would be to run another similar maxima, get a dyno or just crack it open.
mine was broken just past 50k miles for reference but i do take advantage of manifold on a daily basis.
