Lightning strikes again

This time it was less than 50 yards from the last spot. Remember this?

http://www.forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=431259

Now they took my D1, and all my CDs and even my HVAC!

Looked off my porch to this:

Looked inside to see this:

Just like the last time:

Look at my street. Does it look bad? My car is the only one that has been broken into for dozens of years and it's happened twice in six months. I would have it parked in the drive but that is not an option.

Damn, sorry that sucks...I suggest getting an aftermarket alarm system...If somebody even knocks on my window lightly it will beep once and the 2 way remote pager on my keychain will vibrate and make noise to let me know.

That SUCKS...again!! After you replace all your stuff you really need to invest in a very high end aftermarket alarm....or a 9mm!

Wow! Sorry to hear that! I feel your pain! Yeah, get an aftermarket alarm. Knowing that it happened twice, it could be a possibility that it was/were the same people involved. They know that they can bypass the factory alarm and seeing that you replaced everything, they may have tried again. Good luck with everything!

This time I got it insured so I should have the amount of the cost of the unit coming my way. I am kicking myself for not getting an alarm but I honestly couldn't afford it at the time. There is no way that I will get another one without an alarm.

Do you have any enemies, an ex girlfriend with a new boyfriend or something? It had to be someone pretty dumb or they would have taken the radar detector too. Maybe your car looks too good?

Our cars were open the other night and someone went through them and took all the change, and our neighbors had their sirius stolen. I know its not nearly as bad as yours, but its a ****ty feeling... sorry man

get one of those 2 way pager alarms so u get a page when it goes off

If your tinted the tint film holds the window together. I got a golfball through my rear window and if it wasnt for my tint it would have been in a million little pieces in my backseat.

They make cameras that are hidden and shock activated. That coupled with an alarm pager would help. Sorry for the loss again...

Too bad they don't have the "Robo Cop" alarm, know what I'm sayin?

Get a Clifford alarm. If anyone breaks in, your keyfob goes off and lets you know. At least then, you may be able to catch them and beat the **** out of them...

watch out though.. Last time I went out to kick the **** out of someone who broke into my car, I got shot at. Either it was a warning shot or he sucked with his gun, luckily I wasn't killed. I would rather lose some possessions than lose my life.

Man someone has lost their FEAR completely!!!!!!!!!!!! First one looked very bad, this one is even worse!!! Wow sorry to see and hear about this. I guess those thiefs are asking to get shot!!!! I can't believe you bought another system and they stole it again. Your car is the only car they broke in to, looks like they know what you have. My guess it's someone around neighborhood.

Ohhh yeah Krupp what system is that that you have?????

my audio shop has a great alarm that includes a digital camera. You can hide it somewhere. When the car door or alarm goes off, the camera takes rapid shots and sends all the pictures to your keychain. From there you can upload it to your computer. The alarm itself is top end, but i think the camera could work perfect for you as the crime is usually committed at your house.

That would be cool. Well, I'll avoid this problem as I am moving out of this city in July anyway.

Wow, that's just ridiculous man, sorry to see this happen to you. Think someone has it out for you. I can't have anything nice on my car either or that stuff would get stolen in a hot minute. At least no one was hurt.

Oh man, sorry to see that. Good thing you had it insured though. I need to get on that boat myself here soon.

On another tangent...Are you by any chance near Xavier? The pics look somewhat familiar.

Yeah, the insurance saved me.

I actually graduated from Xavier. I live in Mt. Lookout now so it's sort of close. I'm actually still a member of X's gym though. Gonna be there later tonight.

or a more practical setup is to park it in a protected garage for a while a few months at least, its a pain and costs money but its worth it

Chances are that it is the same person or people that got you the first time.

Even an alarm might not stop them. Inside parking is the way to go. Out of sight out of mind. if you can't do that then you might get a good alarm and some type of gun, baseball bat, hammer or any blunt object to beat the **** of the the people.

But be careful, a few years back in a nice area someone was stealing a deck from a guy, he went out to stop him and got stabbed in the temple with a screw driver and died.

People that steal are morons and have killer karma coming around back to them.

Just adding my support. Sorry to hear (and see) that man. Had a similar situation happen to an old Subaru... they smashed the window... just to steal a $15 tool set that was bought from Wal-Mart. I mean WTF. I would have happily given em the f'n tool kit if it would of spared gettin my window smashed.

I say if you're not going the route of cutting your loses... booby trap the car and take no prisoners.

BTW: calling the police was the first thing you did right? And they have a record of every time this has happened? Did they dust for fingerprints?

Theres 3 things I have to say:
1.) Who wouldn't want cash and credit cards? Its just a matter of whether you'd be willing to smash the car window and commit a crime to do it.
2.) If you're poor and desperate enough... what wouldn't you do?
3.) I think breaking into a car is one of the easiest crimes you can get away with... I mean, how many times have you heard of people getting arrested or caught breaking into a car? Versus, how many car break in crimes there are...
