Check Engine Light read code P0443 - Purge Control Valve - Replaced Valve and Light did not clear. Dealer says they inspected valve with computer accuating OK and the ONLY possible solution is a complete $3,000 wiring harness!! This car has no mods, no hits and 46,000 miles. Seems very odd to need a harness or a have short. All ignition coils and muffler were changed some time back but otherwise little to no repairs. I saw one post that said to look at the 15 amp fuse before changing the 02 sensors. Could there be an intermittent fuse related failure relating to the P0443 valve functionality? Do these valves have a history of being defective? Could the new one also be bad? Appreciate any insight as I don't think the harness will correct.
