don't mind me, I am just still awake

Back on topic. I wouldn't trust those cheap e-bay ones to last very long. Remember, this thing is making sure you have correct fuel pressure going to your engine when it needs it

A fuel pressure regulator is used to maintain constant fuel pressure across the fuel injectors. This ensures accurate fuel delivery to the combustion chamber. The fuel pressure regulator should be sized correctly with the fuel pump to achieve the maximum flow of the bigger fuel pump.

If your main question is to whether you need a FPR along with an AFC to adjust A/F, I think the answer is no. But then again, I don't know how the Walbro fuel pump changes things. There are many of us who have used SAFC-II/VAFC-IIs to tune A/F and have not needed to get a FPR.

Btw Blake, there are a couple of good discussions of related topics in the All Motor forum; search for SR20DEN's timing advance thread, that's a good one.

throwing nitrous into the equation takes out most of what i know but when you are running motor which is most often, that 255 would be causing you to run rich. my walbro 190 had me in low 12's for air/fuel. the fpr will allow you back fuel out to have better mixture for all motor but you could still run a safe enough mixture for the nitrous. the megan universal fpr has worked great for me. SR has run it so i have a returnless system like the 3.5 for cooler fuel along with the ability to bump up the fuel pressure and back it out with the vafc2 for indirect, increased timing. i realize that you do not want too high of a timing for the nitrous but just for fyi.
