BOSE factory radio is driving me up the wall. I remember reading back before about how common it is for the left side to go in and out as far as the speakers. Anyone know about specials on pioneers and I heard a rumor how they have to bypass certain things in order to install the radio or speakers. Just wanted to know if that was true b/c my friend paid out of his @$$ for this and it sounds worse than it did before.

Head to the Audio/Electronics forum, some of those guys know an ungodly amount of knowledge on the subject, can even tell you how to fix this issue,

And if you want my opinion for a basic AM system, I went with Alpine, sure I won't win any contests, but it works much better than the Bose, and you don't have to break the bank for it either.

Here is the stuff you'll need if you are using your stock BOSE speakers with an aftermarket HU.

I recently replaced my BOSE because of the cutting out issue and now the BOSE speakers sound dramatically better. The Clarion stock HU is complete crap IMO and even a somewhat decent HU will make your stock speakers sound respectable.
