Hey whats up .orgers. I am looking to get some work done to my max, right now Im stock. Partly because I don't know anything about working on cars. Im really only looking to have some minor work done. I wnat to have my HID lights cleared out, clear corners put in, and I want to get a new MAF sensor put in, just the sensor, not the entire thing. Are there any shops that will do this type of thing for you? I live in Germantown Maryland, about 20-30 minutes north of DC. If not is there any orgers nearby that would do these changes for a little extra change. Thanks.

 

You should easily be able to do all of those things yourself. Especially the clear corners.

 

The clear corners can be done by anyone who has ever opened a paint can. The HID's don't seem to be too difficult from what I hear (I'll be doing the mod within the next month or so), and not sure about the MAF....any particular symptoms that are making you want to do the MAF sensor?

Yeah, the max just doesn't have the same pickup that it once had. It feels kind of like the tranny is slippin when I punch it while in 2nd gear. It just slowly crawls up to around 5 or 6K then shifts. I hate it. Im scared to jump out in front of traffic, because it takes so long to get moving.
