Topspeed y-pipe is here
My y-pipe arrived this afternoon, and it looks good. Can't wait to put it on tomorrow. I'm gonna do a fed-spec write up on the install for you's guys who are rollin non Cali spec. I'll post pics in my cardomain asap!
The install went smoothly. I did have to grind a little extra weld off the inside of the "fed spec" pipe to get it to slide together, but it was a minor infraction. I left my camera at my sister's, so I didn't get any pics-SORRY!!
I was very impressed overall. It sounded very tame, no "bees in a can."
The whole install only took a 12 pack!! Not bad....
BTW-PB Blaster is the s***. I squirted some on all the nuts that were to come off, and after breaking loose with the ratchet, every one of them came off by hand.

Actually, I gained some low end power. The throttle response is better. It sounds healthier too. I haven't dogged on it too hard yet. I want to see how much diff it makes on my gas mileage. The stock y-pipe must weigh 10-15lbs heavier than the new one. Very happy!!
