Anything I need to look for? Pro's/Con's, anything I should know before buying one? I hope to get a 6spd '02 or '03 by the end of this week or next.


I've got 132K on my '00 and she's served me well, still does, but I think it's time for something new.

 

Nobody has any input on what to look for when buying one of these?

 

its pretty much the same exact car as yours except the engine, tranny, and some minor interior and exterior changes.

 

If it's got a Bose, take a couple of hard turns/go over some bumps and make sure the left front speaker doesn't cut out. If it does, the HU is bad. Just negotiate accordingly.

Otherwise, they're pretty solid cars.

 

There are two major issues i've heard about with the 5.5 gens:
(1) oil consumption
(2) grinding into 3rd, when driving properly

And if you live in an area where HID's are stolen, thats another problem.

Other than that, its a pretty darn nice car.

 

Cool.... well while looking for a '02-'03 Maxima I came across an awesome deal on a '04 G35 Coupe that I don't know if I can pass up.
