hey guys whatsup im new to the site and i been looking on this site for a while now and love all your maximas' and the mods you guys put in. I am thinkin of gettin a 00-03 maxima and wondering if a 2003 model with 43 thousand miles on it going for 14K would be a good price on one of these cars? and it is an se auto. i just need some help if im getting a good deal for this car? and if you guys had any problems you encountered with this model type maxima. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated thanks!

Go with the 2K3. That is not a bad deal with those miles on it. I've had my
2K3 since new and have not had any major problems with it except for the BOSE cut out issue. The only thing I would really think hard about is the issue of HID headlight theft. I see you are in North Jersey which is notorious for this. Good luck with your decision.

 

hey thanx alot guys atleast i got a couple of responses lol and with the HID thing u mean they get stolen very often around here? becuase i was really considering them. and i`m guessin the 2000 max is a rip off since my mom said so too lol...i just need a second opinion. what if i try to talk down the 2000 max? how low should i go since the miles r really high? And sorry about the questions but TXT u did mean that u had no problems while ur car was stock right? just makin sure. thanks alot guys!

 

My car is pretty much stock except aftermarket nav and new tires. Yes, your HID lights would be at risk of being stolen. I've had mine stolen once but have heard of people getting them stolen multiple times in the North Jersey/NYC area. As far as the choice between a 2000 or 2003 Maxima, I would definitely go with the 2003 mainly because I like the 3.5L engine.

 

go with the 03, its a pretty good deal; plus it's got clear corners on it

that 00 is a complete rip off, i got my 00 2 years ago for a grand more with extended warranty. plus it was fully loaded and a 5 speed.
