Got P0174 Code after using Seafoam
Hi,
i've been driving around with P1320 code also (i am waiting for my coils to come in). Used Seafoam last week to clean my throttle body and the resot of the intake manifold, plus put in 1/3 bottle into a full tank of 91 gas. After a trip to the autozone today, turned out i have a P0174 - Fuel Injection System Too Lean (Bank 2). I do not know wtf happened out of the ordinary. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

What have your symptoms been with the car? Rough idle on cold starts? Stalling on cold starts? Pinging?! The coils usually have little to do with the p0174 code and it sounds like a mass air flow sensor...if you havent replaced it yet it should be done...also check your air filter first..if it is stock replace immediately ...p0171 and p0174 are most common codes to be thrown for dirty air filter/ mass air flow...

I have been driving around with the p0174 code for about a month now, changed my sensors first, that wasn't it, then a couple days ago, changed my maf. My old maf was extremely dirty, it was the original with 105,000 miles. Keeping my fingers crossed and hoping this has fixed the code. SES light hasn't come back on and I hope I dont see it for awhile..... lol. Get your MAF from Dave B..

ok, I jinxed myself, ses light came back on today on the way home......sigh, still needed new maf though, car runs great, doesn't stall like it did in the mornings before. Now I gotta go back to the drawing board and try to figure out the p0174 code..... @#%%#$

Ok so you replaced the MAF?, air filter?, recent tune up(plugs n such)?, if you have done all of these things recently i would suggest checking th eintake system up to the cat for vacuum leaks this also is a reason your car may be throwing the code...if there is nothing visually guys also use smoke through the intake and see if it leaks out....My next question was if your car pings at all? uphill light load partial throttle? any at all..if not check for the leaks if nothin there you could always change the o2 sensor, but if the car runs fine i see no problem

Wow. this is an old thread but wondering if anyone can help? I have MAF sensor replaced, upgraded to NGK sparks and have a P0174 code recently, the car is pinging too under throttle, and hesitation around 4000-4500 RPM's....So I plan on changing the O2 sensor, but will that fix the pinging because the car is running lean? Please advise...thx
