Question on illuminas

Real quick, what is the function/placement/orientation of the two nuts that come with the rear shocks? I cant imagine they replace the kingpin nut,and underneath i cant see a reason other than holding in the rubber components, but they sqeeze INTO the rubber components. can anyone help me out with this?

Also, the tightening torques provided with the shocks say "be sure to use the following torque figures for the top mount" is that for the kingpin or for the actual mount? (2 for rear/3 for front)

they are just replacements for the stock nuts that hold the stock rear struts. They are tiny and many of the board members will recommend that u ditch those and keep the stock nuts.
