How high?

Hey guys just got my 5.5 gen and im new to the VQ35. When I first start it in the morning the rpms jump to 2k or just above 2k. Is this normal? Its an automatic also. Thanks.

well you have to understand that engine is cold. when it warms up does the rpm still stay up or drop down? also you have a auto which idle higher than a manual

When my car starts on a day like today which was 55 in nyc, the rpms were a lil more than 1k. Then after warming up for a min it drops down below 1k.

Mine idles around 1500 on a cold morning then goes down as it warms up. I think the car is cold and just wants to get that hot air blowning through the vents as fast as possible, just like you do! he,he
