The Good And The Bad 56k warning

Hey guys well as you know the shop pulled out on me when it came to the SFCs and I got the car back today. Heres the Good and the Bad when it comes to my car.

The Good

My Car still looks pretty after a quick cleaning

Otto FSTB is installed

Progress RSB is installed

4 Brand New Toyo Proxes 4 going on tomorrow

The Bad

My dad put my new tires in the back seat to transport them to the dealer where they were supposed to mount and balance them while they were installing a new longblock. The tires left these marks... any advide on how to get them out would be appreciated. We have already tried pretty much every cleaning product out there.

And Someone Absolutly DESTROYED my Front Right Wheel, and advice on this one would be good too.

I was rushing as fast as possible to get the car washed cause the sun was going down really fast and my cameras flash doesnt seem to work.

Only a few mins later, as the sun went down

Yes I did take this opportunity to ***** out pics of my car. I am very happy with it and cant wait to put the SFCs Eibachs and Illuminas on it. It should look even better, and handle MUCH better.

Let me know guys about what I could possibly do about those bad points.

Thanks

It would be nice if you could resize the pics, since they don't even fit on my 20 inch monitor. Did you try lexol? Also I head that if you use 70% rubbing alcohol it should work. I got some little black marks out of my leather, but I only used it on a little spot. I don't know if it would work for such a big mark like that. Just be careful, let some other people chime in about using the alcohol becuase I was a little skeptical at first but I tried it and it worked so I don't know.

I cant wait to put them on. I have the stock blowtenzas on there now and the suspension with just a FSTB and RSB is outperforming the tires. Up front the tires feel completly bald, but they have plenty of tread left they just suck that bad.

yeah I have tried leather cleaner. It didnt move the stains the tiniest bit. Unfortunatly those stains have had about a month to set into the leather as my car was sitting at the dealership while they switched the long block

Anyone have any input on using rubbing alchahol? Wont this dry out my seats?

Nice photos. Your dad should have put some towels on the seats before placing those tires on them.

well if it comes down to it, if I cant get the stains out and I sell the car in the future and the buyer starts workin me on price because of the stains, I am gonna turn to him at that point and ask him for the difference the buyer worked me for if any at all.

I think seats for this car would be pretty expensive. Plus as you can tell one stan is on the door...

go to a detail supply shop and buy solvent but be careful if you keep rubbing to much youll dtart to discolor the leather. you can always spray them with flexible paint that matches or leather dye. my friend is a owns a detailing business and has done this several times making the leather look like new.

Call some dealers and get the names of some leather repair guys. Alot of them are mobile and go around to the various dealers they service fixing rips and stains on trade ins.

no alcohol. try diluted white vinegar and water. try 50/50 mix, and step it up if you have to. vinegar works well on leather, and does not damage it.

works everytime if you do it right.

USE GASOLINE! Right after it comes off, condition the leather.

Good as new.

Enjoy.

More Good Stuff today

I took the full size spare out of the trunk with a perfect rim and put it up front, and put the damged rim in the back as a spare. I also got the Proxes 4 mounted and balanced.

And I picked up my Eibach Proline springs today. Picked them up from a guy in Boston. If he can deal with the ride considering how terrible the roads are in the city than I should be fine out here in the suburbs.

The ride with new tires, RSB and FSTB is amazing at speed. I think anyone would be hard pressed to tell if the car was doing 60 or 100 if there wasnt other cars on the road to judge your speed by. It is that smooth. It is seriously absolutly beyond me why a car manufacturer wouldent have put this on the car to begin with... it makes the car so much better its absolutly AMAZING. I cant wait to keep going. I am SO hooked on mods now!!

Damn I am with everyone else. If magic eraser doesnt remove it then it aint coming out. And some people just have soft butts cause I don't think i'd be able to deal with ebiach springs in the city. I live in Boston and the stock springs take a beating........

Try some rubbing compound with a wet rag to try to get the tire stains out. Try a small area first. Keep the rag nice and wet. It may discolor the leather a tiny bit, but once you use some leather cleaner it will restore the color. The main thing is to not use too much compound. Keep it wet. Having a tan interior for many years in my '95 then my 2k, I learned this detailing trick from detailers to get dark spots out of light interior colors. I'm not sure, though, of this kind of stain that you are suffering from. It seems like you got a lot of tire dressing on those seats. That's why I say to try a small area first and see what it does. Good luck!

I don't think it's tire dressing on the interior surfaces. More than likely it's mold release compound transfered from prolonged contact between the two surfaces. It's just like the sticker your pull off new tires in that the same pattern appears on the adhesive side of the sticker.
