removing rear left side lamp?

i just noticed the bulb is out on my red rear side marker, i can't really see what to grab from the inside to release it, where is the clip? what's the safest way to pop the side lamp out so i can replace the bulb?

Is my Maxima the only one that came with an owners manual?

ok looking at the drivers side, rear butt, do i put the knife in the tail end of the lamp? or the front of the lamp (towards engine side)

i know when i took off my yellow lights there was a clip on one side and a little plastic latch that would break if i popped that side off first

and yes you are probably the only one that got a manual with your max

Read your manual as well as this link...your making this too difficult on yourself.

No, this light pops right out......I just did it the other day on my 2K2. Use a flathead screwdriver with a cloth covering the end (this is how you protect your paint) and pry from the middle (where the light meets the trim piece) and it should pop right out.

Now, removing the trim piece is a DIFFERENT story......much more difficult.
